This site is dedicated to highlighting the use of open technologies including free/libre software and open source hardware.
I am (obviously) a computer nerd who is fascinated by the use of technology. My first exposure to home computers and programming was almost 20 years ago when my parents picked up a used Commodore 128. Machine language/assembler was completely foreign to me, but I at least got a taste of programming logic from typing simple programs in Basic.
Over the years, I picked up bits and pieces on the arcane arts of computing. I still feel I have a ways to go, but I suppose that it is something that takes a lifetime to master.
